Trogdor did not go quietly or cleanly.

Obituary:

Trogdor the Justicator was a hero. He destroyed racism, saved countless lives, and took countless more. While hacking through swaths of bandits in a fit of bloodrage he did not notice his wounds, and in his final swing before his consciousness left him he failed, critically, plunging his +3 battleaxe through his armor into his chest. His heart exploded and he died instantly. Those few who witnessed this say that as Trogdor's body fell limp his spirt continued to vigorously hack and slash into the afterlife.
