Epitaph She was taken too soon, trying to help a massive butthole. May she rest in peace, knowing that her kindness defined her.
Obituary Pyntle was a cheerful and bright young gnome, ready to take on the world. She grew up in the slums of Luskan, playing with the other children. After her parents had to leave their home they tried to make a living in the big city. Although they didn't have a lot of time for their second eldest, they had a lot of love to give. It was Pyntle's greatest dream to sail on one of the big ships which she helped to repair (after all, a small gnome girl can fit in almost every crevice). But as she grew older, her need for adventure took over. When she met Kavi, a Goliath, in a pub in downtown Luskan, she agreed to take Pyntle with her. After saying goodbye to her parents and siblings, the young heroine was ready to take on the world. After some time, the two were hired by Darsche Steinhieb and together they were supposed to help a young Ryoma deliver a book. After Darsche turned against Ryoma, a fight followed and the remaining party, completed by Morgothon and Myrkrid, went to Greenest. There, they made a name for themselves as the "Heroes of Greenest", helping to fight off a dragon and the leader of a group of plunderers. After freeing a prisoner from the plunderer's camp, the three of them made their way to Elturel to warn the residents. Uncovering a local villain by the name of Neets, a vampire wanting to take the city over, they were asked to find out who the band of plunderers were and where they were heading. On their way to Baldur's Gate they encountered a bard named Alrik, begging for their help. Both a group of local gnomes and he himself had been taken by some orcs. His weapons still where at the fortress. Thus, the party decided to help him. Then, in the orcish fortress, they met their doom. Pyntle, brave as ever, sneeked into the fortress, trying to find out where they might find the gnomes and Alrik's bow. However, she was captured by a witch who trapped her inside a mirror. Forever. Whilst trying to save her, her friends died tragically in the dungeons beneath.
Pyntle was curious and bright, she was witty and full of life. She wanted to sail on a big ship and see her parents again. She wanted to live through adventures and grow old. She never got to do any of that. She never was able to finish her story and died a pointless death. But she did so trying to help in the hopes of limiting the suffering and unfairness others were faced with. She was a hero and will always be remembered as such. Now, she will be united with her ancestors who are waiting to welcome her into the everlasting meadows. A new adventure awaits.
