Epitaph Slain by a flaming log thrown by a Hill Giant.
Obituary Edryn was born in world recently released by an ice age. His people lived in the city of Eno for generations, but even as the ice encased the magically protected city, they remembered their attachment to the world outside. When the ice finally receded, his people were the first to leave, and build a settlement in the renewed forests near Eno. When Edryn's settlement was slaughtered and razed to the ground by goblins, he ventured into Eno looking for help in exacting his revenge.
Edryn found an the Hawk and Vine Inn in Eno that housed a large number of adventurers who were making a living by exploring the area around Eno. Edryn fell in with them, and slew many goblins during his adventures.
One day Edryn was guiding a small party through the forests near Eno when they came upon a sleeping Hill Giant. Clearly out of their league, Edryn warned his small party against attacking the beast, but they ignored him, and attacked anyway. One by one the beast picked them off until Edryn himself was slain.
He died defending his fellow adventurers, even unto the failure of his own quest.
Rest in peace Edryn.
