Obituary David von Wurfgenstein
The Family of David came first into picture a few years after the Spellplague. They went up and around the long road, mostly between Yatar and the Lurkwood. They began as a Poaching and tradeing tribe but soon as the region grew unstable, especially after the demise of luskan, they turned tot he City of Mirabar offering their service as a Warrior band.
In the process of their service his great grandfather, Krahhg became an exalted figure in the City.
As it came, Krahhg was expelled from the city, only his brother Dahanum, himself a capeable warrior, followed him into the exile. In exile the brothers came across a tribe of frost giants, that were in the mids of slaying an adult bronze dragon.
The brothers did not waver in the sight of such a danger. Both of them stormed in and Battle ensued. At the end 8 Giants were slayn by the brother´s, or so they thoght. While the brothers were cutting down the magical net that was holding the dragon pinned to the ground. In this swift moment of unattentiveness one of the giants that was belived dead raised his axe for a final stroke to cut down on Krahhg. In a split second Dahanum noticed the gust of wind from the giant arm raising, pushed his brother out of the way. His chest was split, with the giant axe burried inside the Mithral Breastplate. Krahhg enraged by the sight of his brothers limb body, he threw the stone sword at the Giants head that cracked open like a quails egg.
After he was freed, the dragon witnessing the act of courage, sacrifice and loss he promissed Krahhg his pain was not to be in vain.
The dragon granted him a lift and other gifts. Krahhg used the oportunity to ride the dragon infront oft he Mirabar coucil Hall demanding a fair reward for the service he and his clan gave tot he city. Backed by the bronze scaled Behemoth, he and his bloodline were granted the barrony title of von Wurfgenstein, in rememberence of the thrown stone sword.
The Family was also granted a Villa amidst the town, that the family extended into a Keep, that is now the official seat of the family.
The von Wurfgensteins are known for providing the best guardsmen and guard officers.
David, a young goliath of 19 years is striving for honor, to step into the footprints of his ancestors, however being young and in love put him in serious truble. He fell in love with a daughter of a way more influential family. As it came both of them could not keep the relationship secret.
A secret council was arranged between the 2 Patriarcs of the family to decide what to do about the relationship. Both agreed that the relationship comming to the light of day would not help any of them. Considering both houses saw a opportunity they came up with a deal: David needed to prove his worth as a future husband by gaining fame, wealth or enough experience. His love, a Half elven woman by the name of Ethrandil had to wait at least 3 years before any engagement were tob e considered.
In the light of this pact the information that the Rockseeker Brothers might have found something very interesting in the Sword Mountains sparked Dave enough to go out on to his Adventure.
