Obituary Ash was a character created for a prologue oneshot to the DM's world. We had to bypass a fortress unseen, so we wanted to create a distraction. We had a ship we didn't need anymore and decided to blow it up with Greek Fire. Our Rogue was to steer the boat to the fortress and then jump off while our Ranger shot a fire-arrow at it. The rogue stayed too long, Ash saw this, used dimension door to teleport to the ship and back using all his spellslots and a magic item that recharged his spellslots. As he teleported back, the ship exploded and the dice did not roll in favor of him making it out. Our wizard tried to rewind time with a homebrew magic item, but he failed his save again. Rest in peace, you reckless bastard.
