Epitaph:

Killed by a flameskull while attempting to escape Wave Echo Cave to seek help for his fallen friends.

Obituary:

Initially brought together by chance, Faulkner came to care deeply for his compatriots as they sought to rescue the missing Rockseeker brothers. Sadly, despite slaying the menacing Black Spider, his pet giant spiders managed to down the rest of the group, and only Faulkner escaped into the darkness of the dungeon. His attempts to bargain with the more reasonable denizens of the cave failed, and he was killed by a flameskull while attempting to reach the exit. Still, a quick death in the fires of a powerful explosion could be seen as a merciful end to his harrowing journey through the mine; at least compared to his friends, who were eaten alive by spiders.
