Epitaph Stabbed and brutally killed by a powerful demon he was trying to defeat, he fought to the very end.
Obituary Threksos was born in 1062 DR, and quickly grew to become the champion of his tribe of minotaurs in the Lord’s Scar Forest. He led his fellows in hunts and competitions, wielding his maul with skill and employing a unique fighting style of chaining stones to his wide horns that could be used for combat. Threksos was a beloved hero of his people, and when the first human and halfling settlers of the region came, he helped to drive them off. However, the resultant war and suffering fueled an ancient portal to the minor Abyssal layer called the Fields of Fog, leading to the emergence of demons in service of the Ivory Serpent Riotan. The acolytes of the minotaur gods determined that all they could do to end the attack by demons was entomb Riotan in time and space. They constructed an underground vault filled with divine magic, and lured the Serpent there, where Threksos battled it valiantly. Both were frozen in time, but the weakened minotaurs were forced to concede to the settlers and were eventually driven off. Threksos was awakened 700 years later by a band of travelers, and followed them in their adventure. However, their path through the Ashlands was hindered by the trickster demon Baen. Threksos tried to fight Baen one-on-one, but was slain, which allowed Riotan to emerge back into the world. He is survived by his good friend Loriche, and his body was interred in the vault where he was frozen.
