Knight of the Feywild, champion of Queen Titania, servant of Corellon Larethian, Tarkk died as he lived: unexpectedly

Obituary:

Spirited away from certain death only to be enslaved by an other-dimensional entity known as the Mastermind, Tarkk traveled into the past with his companions and killed the man who would become the Mastermind in the future, inadvertently negating Tarkk's earlier rescue.  And so he returned to the moment just before he'd escaped certain death and was annihilated by a demon in Shakespeare's basement.  It's a long story.
