Obituary:

Raised by the Nightheart tribe since a young age to complete contracts for wealthy persons. These contracts can vary from bodyguard to assassinations. 

While transporting his contract owner to new land the ship was wrecked in bad weather and has been unable to find his owner. Believing his owner to be  "dead" he is an exiled from his clan as per tradition.
